The Carazo Salas Group has been awarded a BBSRC Big Data Award as part of the Research Council's push to investigate methods to cope with big data challenges in the biosciences.
The Group will be involved in the project to build a next generation image data repository, led by Dundee's Jason Swedlow and in collaboration with EBI/ELIXIR's Alvis Brazma. This will make available the original scientific image data that underpins life sciences research.
