I will present a brief overview of my past research, from quantum mechanical studies of small molecules (undergraduate years), to proteome-wide big data analyses (PhD years) and works in computational genomics (MPhil and post-doctoral years). Next, a research proposal will be presented that builds upon the past experience and preliminary findings regarding the genomic and proteomic factors that influence multigenic diseases (such as cancer, autism, type 2 diabetes, cardiomyopathies, protein misfolding diseases) and alter background mutational and repair processes. Part of the proposal will comprise a grand data integration project, to reach a new level of precision in identifying and interrogating phenotypically relevant and/or disease driver mutations. The proposed project, while building upon the cutting edge machine learning, evolutionary and physico-chemical data integration techniques, would be modular enough to assure a wealth of useful data and computational biology tools produced from the course of the project, and transferrable to a number of domains in biology and medicine
