Department of Genetics

 

The Department is sad to learn of the death of a former Part II student [graduating in 1970], Professor Chris Marshall. He had worked at the Institute of Cancer Research for 35 years, where the discoveries he made in his research on the Ras oncogene and its mechanisms of action have made it into the textbooks - '...a lasting legacy of game-changing discoveries in cancer research'.
