We are pleased to announce that Professor Richard Durbin has been elected a Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, as one of 42 new International Honorary Members.

The 2019 class is drawn from 127 institutions across 25 states and 23 countries.  Information about the other newly elected members is available on the Academy's website.

The American Academy of Arts and Sciences was founded in 1780 and is both an honorary society that recognizes and celebrates the excellence of its members and an independent research center convening leaders from across disciplines, professions, and perspectives to address significant challenges.
