After this year's very successful Research in Genetics Day on Thursday 5th December, came the presentation for the best poster by a Postgraduate student. It was decided to award two prizes, and these went to:
- Melissa Antoniou-Kourounioti - 'SUMOylation of topoisomerase 2α influences its localisation to the mitotic centromere'
- Belgin Yalcin - 'Shaping Endoplasmic Reticulum in Drosophila axons'
Above : Melissa Antoniou-Kourounioti discusses her poster. An image from Melissa's winning poster can be seen in the carousel on our home page, entitled 'SUMOylation of topoisomerase 2α affects its localisation in metaphase' [Farr Lab]
