Research

I am interested in how the process of somitogenesis has evolved throughout vertebrate evolution. Despite highly conserved gene expression dynamics, the cell and tissue behaviours involved in this process are highly divergent and have not been well described. My PhD project seeks to address this, by characterising and comparing these cell and tissue behaviours among different vertebrates.
